What determines the fall risk level?

The fall risk level is based on scientifically proven risk factors. We assess these using a gait analysis and a questionnaire. The result is a score between 0 and 100: the more risk factors you have, the higher your fall risk.

What are the assessed risk factors based on?

The questionnaire and the various risk factors are based on the current "state of clinical research" and on national and international guidelines.

Can special movement patterns, like stepping out of the shower, be analyzed as well?

Currently, we cannot reliably analyze specific scenarios such as getting out of the shower. This is because there are no scientific reference values or standardized movement patterns available for our algorithm to use in making an accurate assessment.

What questions are included in the medical questionnaire?

According to the expert standard for fall prevention, the questionnaire collects information on medical conditions, medication, cognition and impairments, fall history, elimination behavior, personality, and living environment.

How is the personality profile determined?

The personality profile is only generated when you complete the full version of the questionnaire – it is not part of the short version.

It is based on the scientifically recognized Big Five personality model. This model explains how people differ in their ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving, using five key traits: emotional stability, sociability, openness, cooperativeness, and conscientiousness. Lindera uses your questionnaire answers to measure these traits and provides you with a short personality profile.

What is your process like?

Through the use of growth driven design, you can analyze exactly how your user is interacting with your website and design it accordingly.

What is the cost of using the LINDERA App?

For professionals and clinical users, the monthly price of the LINDERA Mobility Analysis depends on the number of seniors or patients. Please feel free to contact us to learn more. There are different financing options for using the LINDERA Mobility Analysis in partnership with a health or long-term care insurance fund:

 

  • Inpatient and semi-inpatient facilities: You can apply under the Prevention Guideline according to §5 SGB XI or negotiate coverage of the Fall Prevention App through the care rate. LINDERA already cooperates with leading health insurance funds nationwide and provides support throughout the application and negotiation process.

  • Outpatient care services, assisted living facilities, neighborhoods, and senior living communities: You can apply under the Prevention Guideline according to §20a SGB V. LINDERA supports you in the application process.

  • Seniors in home care, whether supported by an outpatient care service or family members, can apply for Digital Care Applications (DiPA) with their long-term care insurance fund starting in spring 2022. As an outpatient care service, you also have the option to support the use of the Mobility Analysis within this framework and to provide your clients with billable advice.

How and when is the collected data deleted?

The personal data collected by LINDERA is stored until the expiration of the statutory retention period and then deleted, unless LINDERA is required to retain it for a longer period under Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. c GDPR due to tax or commercial law retention and documentation obligations (arising from the HGB, StGB, or AO), or you have consented to extended storage under Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

Where is my data stored?

The data is stored exclusively on servers located in Germany (EU) in compliance with the GDPR.

Are my data securely encrypted at LINDERA?

All data sent from the app to our server is securely encrypted (SSL). If you would like more details about our data security measures, we are happy to provide them on request.
