It was a perfect fit at the Altenpflegemesse 2024: When I met the team from Deutsche Fachpflege, it quickly became clear that we wanted to work together!Because you could feel it immediately: Care with high standards is practiced here. Quality, innovation and the will to break new ground are not just empty words, but an attitude - and action. We have now launched digital fall prevention in Herford - with a dedicated team and real practical relevance.
Digitalization with attitude: a new approach to fall prevention
At the heart of the project is the question:
How can modern technology specifically relieve the burden on nursing staff and improve quality at the same time? The answer: With data-supported risk recording that works in an understandable, comprehensible and practical way - and therefore offers real support.
Jan Grineisen, Head of PMO & Digitalization at Deutsche Fachpflege, sums up the shared vision: "With Lindera, we want to test how we can digitally support fall prevention throughout Germany in a data-supported and quality-assured manner at DEUTSCHE FACHPFLEGE. "
There is also clear impetus from the outpatient sector - Tanja Blankenhagen (Strategic Director Outpatient) says: "For me, this is a clear sign of quality. The app is not only intended to make risks visible, but also to provide concrete support to professionals in their day-to-day work - in assessment, in formulation, in dialog with others. This creates real relief and tangible safety in dealing with fall risks. "
First impressions: Quality sometimes takes a moment
Of course, getting started with new digital processes doesn't always take seconds. But that is also part of the quality requirement: If you just want to tick boxes, you have quickly completed something - but not necessarily understood or done it. The initial feedback shows: The app is uncomplicated to use. And yes, it invites you to take your time - for real assessments, well-founded decisions and visible development. And that is exactly what makes the difference: more clarity in the long term, more security - and less effort in the wrong places.
Diverse scenarios, individual benefits
The project group is made up of very different settings: From specialist care for people with dementia to short-term care and outpatient forms of living. As different as the locations, structures and teams are, so different can the use of the app be: Some start with the admission of new residents, others use the analysis as part of progress documentation or for targeted case discussions.
Individual, flexible, practical - just the way care is.
Full energy for a compact start The project runs over a period of around six months - focused, practical and with a clear goal: test, learn, improve. To achieve this, we rely on regular exchanges with all those involved - from nursing staff to project managers and strategic management. The monthly jour fixe meetings offer space for questions, feedback and further development. And because good digitalization always requires proximity to practice, we also plan visits to facilities with live feedback on site - to learn together what really works.
And another important point:
While the inpatient use is currently financedby the KKH Kaufmännische Krankenkasse, the outpatient services bear the costs themselves - a strong signal of how much interest there is in sound, digital solutions for fall prevention.
Bottom line:
Deutsche Fachpflege is breaking new ground with LINDERA - digitally, quality-oriented, together. The start has been made, motivation is high - and we are looking forward to everything that will emerge in the coming months!
